I was trying to summon him for you. I played through one as a back line eons ago. Great sounding head with an excellent eq section. But if I’m not mistaken, they love to be run at 2 ohms.

We talking about the Sunn Coliseum 300?
It’s pretty cool and has a very interesting eq section. Comes to life at 2 ohms. I gigged it once with an 8 ohm cab. Once

I hate to say this, but I'm thinking of selling off one of my two VPs (which is why I don't mind that the prices went up!). I just picked up a pair of Ovation Magnums, so I need room on the wall.

Weird thing is, one of my VPs has Thunderbuckers in it and one is stock. I may stick with the stock one, which surprises me. I will do a more detailed test with the same strings on both, but I may prefer the stock pickups. Weird, huh?

Are you selling a tobacco sunburst VP by chance?

Just caught up. Been out for my wife’s birthday (not today tho). Bought her a few laps in a V8 race car, an ‘experience present’. She loved it thankfully!

I had one like that a 79, I bought in in 1980, hardly played it for years. The ad says only 8 made in 79, is that right?
