Thunderbird Club

Quantas Business Class please..
I have good memories of Quantas, so far as I can remember. There was a rugby club tour to Australia involved, and Quantas let us drink as much as we could hold. We had to stop in Hawaii to reload. I think they had enough fuel, but not enough booze. There were no cops involved when we landed, so we must have behaved fairly well. My girlfriend, now wife, was on the trip, so I didn't partake quite like some of the others. Some of those boys were pretty big, and it took a bit to get them going. Quantas was crazy enough to have an adequate supply and to let 40 reaaaly big guys into it.

It might have been normal Aussie behavior, really. I don't know for sure. We had a great time, and Sydney is one of the very few places I would consider going if we ever leave Seattle.

I think you just designed your signature model;)

Yes ! it's been a while since I think about it :
mahogany / walnut neck through, wings in swamp ash / maple fingerboard / TB+ pickups

with this finish :

Not a difficult ask but not seasick green

May I suggest an alternative to the maple fingerboard? Satinwood, a beautiful tropical wood, pale in colour slightly more yellow than Maple and would look soooo sexy on a burst finished bass but a Walnut through neck wouldn't look great as a burst with Swamp Ash wings, I would suggest a Swamp Ash veneer cut from matching boards to cover the Walnut through the front of the body.

Yes, standard Thunderbird mahogany with walnut laminate.

Or full mahogany, problem solved !
You know I like the sound of the Swamp Ash with the Walnut through neck but cover the through part of the neck with a 3mm Swamp Ash veneer cut from the same wood as the wings, that would take a sunburst. Or paint it black then it wouldn't matter at all

We'll get there her arm is not hurting as much today and the rash that appeared yesterday morning has calmed very slightly, the breathing difficulty has completely gone thankfully, at least things are going in the right direction even if they don't know what happened

Could it have been an allergic reaction to some antibiotics?

Anyways, good to hear she’s doing marginally better. Hope it will be smooth sailing from here on out.
