I knew this English lady (forget what part of the country she was from) who used to make this Stilton, leek, bacon casserole. It was truly out of this world. Is that a common recipe in the isles?
Probably, mum used to make something similar when I was very small, not with Stilton but a more standard cheese sauce

Not that kinda dark though. With all due respect. Guess that's just me though.
I've come across that sort of sense of humour a lot in the navy and fire service (my mum's friend was an undertaker too). There isn't any disrespect or none that I ever saw, quite the opposite but away from the actual hands on there is nearly always a lot of humour going on as a way of dealing with the otherwise constant sadness of the situation that could soon overtake your life if you let it.

It's just the medium of your work, people in business make deals, make money for themselves and put some other poor sod under and people lose their jobs, to me that's awful but to people in that line of work it's just the way it is, life goes on

Tried a butterflied leg of lamb? Bone goes to the dog. Marinade in rosemary, salt?, pepper, olive oil. Skin done on the grill, close lid. Turn over bit past 1/2 time.
Get a 1 kg piece and cook if that way and it takes half the time of a keg, say 1hr approx. is beautiful!

Edit: pretty sure there is a lemon for the juice and some runs in there also
Hey, this is Wales, we do that all the time :) Lamb and Rosemary is a match made in heaven :)

"westernized" ..LOL!!!
The big question is; Was it delcious?
Italian cooking - always delicious! Even more so the next day!
Asian cooking - when it's good it's great! When it's not it's horrid!
French cooking - when isn't it great? Why the Fvck are the serving portions from the kids menu?
British cooking - nothing ultra fancy. Just like what mom used to make, perfect.
German cooking - pork cooked 20 different ways. Would you like boiled potatoes with your mashed potatoes?
American cooking - meat and lots of it. Would you like deep fried anything for a side dish?
Indian cooking - protein swimming in spices. Save some prep time, force feed the lamb curry powder.
Canadian cooking - moose, elk, deer or bear. Field dress it, freeze it and eat it for the next 6 months.
Australian cooking - if it moves, kill it and throw it on the barbie. Crap, I think it might have been poisonous!

One thing I’ve learned is. Don’t leave them home alone. I came back from Jersey and found the three of them knoodling on the bed again. I don’t get as much action as they do. Ufff, and the Ric is spooning with the white one, So dirty.

LOL - that Ric and white bird look like they were cut from the same slab.:D

What is Tri Tip ?
It's pretty much a Southern California thing (like briskette is a Texas thing and hoagies are a Jersey thing).
This explains it pretty well....
Tri-tip - Wikipedia

You'll probably never see this cut of meat at a butcher shop outside California but if you want to try it let your butcher read the wiki description and he can probably cut you one. It's actually quite good but it's critically important to cut it in roughly 1/2" thick slices ACROSS the grain when serving.

It's OK, according to the Bumper purists it's no longer a Bumper, it's only a Jazz by shape. The only things original are the body, neck (headstock repainted by me), truss rod (single action :) ) and the PG screws. So according to them it is a parts guitar, on object of torment for them :)

It's also an object of torment for me.
