I only use nylon tapewounds on my ABG. Lightweight, loud, and easy on the frets. Oh yeah, and very easy to keep clean.NBD for me today, jus an acoustic, I've been hankering after one for eons now and been watching this on Ebay for weeks, it's a Hofner HA-B03, I decided to make a low offer last night and it was accepted so we went to fetch it this morning as it was only 30 miles away.
Anyone know anything about acoustic strings? I need some, don't want to play it after someone else, don't know where their fingers have beenIt's got roundwounds on it and they sound OK, informed info needed please

I have a set of those strings, they are great. I have a set of Ernie Ball Slinky Cobalt flatwounds on my Washburn AB20 and they sound great, the flatwound eliminate the ugly acoustic finger sliding noise and give it more of an upright sound.
Wouldn't this be a better solution to staying regular?

I thought Vinegar was the standard in pickle juice.Pickle juice solves a whole lot of problems, especially if it has some vinegar in it. I recently discovered Kombucha, which has vinegar in it, and it does some of the same things pickle juice does for cramping hands and feet.
A nasty foot or leg cramp in the middle of a set does bad things to concentration, among other things.
Travel and look nice with a simple kit? Some of us gave up on looking nice a long time ago.
I forgot to mention that my flatwounds are nickel, sounds like you got a planI have some cobalt flats on my Gibson bird, the second set now but I think rounds are the way I want to go with the Hofner, I'm going to order those EB nickel wounds and give them a try, I quite like the finger sliding noise occasionally

Oh no, fetish club??
Oh god that sounds revolting! do you have a low salt diet? When I was in the navy we used to do what were called "attack swims" these were underwater swims maybe 1 - 2 miles depending on this or that but carrying heavy mines. My legs used to cramp up something awful, the MO gave me salt tablets but after that I increased my salt level in my diet slightly and that did the trick for me. Downside is now I'm addicted to the stuff, I like a bit of food with my salt but never ever get cramps any more.
Hey I travel and have a very simple rig, a combo amp, a lead and two bassesJust plug it in and go make myself look pretty
or more accurately plug in in and go find a corner to hide until on time

the commentary is fabulous.
Its world cup time again, dont like soccer?, you still need to see this. Although the pain is evidently excruciating the commentary is fabulous.
