Thinking out loud here:
The ding/dent in the neck of this paint-finished Epiphone... I know about the steam trick for raising wood out of a dented unfinished/satin neck, but I'm worried about pulling the paint off a big area in the process. As an alternative, I'm kinda wondering how it would turn out if I were to instead just fill the ding with clear two-part epoxy and trim it down to blend with the shape of the neck. I'm not concerned with repairing the (minor) visible dent as much as making it less noticeable when playing the bass. Anyone tried that?
