My step grandfather was aircrew in a Lancaster during WWII but never spoke about it beyond confirming he did if asked so I don't know anything else about it

The Slade gig was good but poorly attended, just 1000 people which was a shame.
Mike Peters was awesome but I'm biased as I like the Alarm and he is local to me and a Welsh speaker. He organised the day, it was a charity event for a cancer support charity he is associated with. On stage with him was Billy Duffy, the guitarist from the cult ala "She sells sanctuary"
Slade were very good too, not the same without Noddy or Jim but good non the less. The highlight for me was Don Powell, how old is he? What a drummer! Surely one of the best drummers in the world, immense is all I can describe him as, I would love to play with him

We had a little surf/ska thing called the Volcanic Skahunas in the 90s. Did some Stingers, Man or Astroman, Ventures, some other cult-surf stuff (it's all culty, isn't it!), it was great fun going from creepy surf-noir to jump-swing-ska ramp-ups. If you've got a drummer who can swing and get under it, a less-is-more player with a good crack on his snare, it can be killer groove time. A good engine room doing surf is deadly.
That bass is a beast. In my observation the V that Casady is flying cant be nearly stock......can it?. Ive never seen that headstock on a V and those pickups struck me as Gretsch but upon further conclusion I believe that Im wrong. Either way I will be going into my comfort zone at some point this evening and watching that gig in its entirety. Thank you for posting that video and thank you @JJR58 for getting this out there by posting that Hot Tuna picture. Not sold on the vocals but the musicianship is friggin' awesome.
I couldn’t find anything on what that bass is. At first I thought it may have been some sort of custom Guild for him.

Ask any B25 pilot a question and you'll get a "Huh?". They were extremely LOUD inside. Note the prop warning line is right beside the cockpit. I,too am a WWII a/c fanatic. I was at one of those WWII AF theme restaurants where there were a bunch of pix labeled A26. Nope, they were A20s. I re labeled them-doing my part for accuracy.

My father (Captain) piloted a B-25 Mitchell in WWII. He loved that airplane. There were a couple in disrepair sitting in a local cornfield airstrip outside of Omaha (near Offutt Air Base - Strategic Air Command) where I grew up and he used to take me and my brother to look at them. Years later a couple guys from CA came and fixed one up and flew it out of there. My dad was there 'overseeing' their progress and became friends. A local TV station did a short spot on them and my dad was included.
No Madrid in FL, but there's a Seville near Daytona. I could catch a bus from there.
