Thanks to @veebass i now know that Australia once again has a Gibson/Epiphone distributor.
$4k for a Gibby Bird and $1549 for an Epi Vintage Pro. Yikes ! And that’s Ozzie $ so add approx 20% for US $

So, gig tomorrow night, one of 3 places we play that I have room enough for a 'Bird. Think I'll take the Epi Bird 5er. Haven't played it for awhile, but as I remember, the B string makes for a good thumb rest.
It'll be the first time I can really crank it w/ the Cobalt flats.

Exactly what I was going to say
TB+ are the stock Gibson pickups. Usually the black plastic covered version we are used to, but also the guitar humbucker sized pickups as used in the LP Standard bass, Money Bass, and several others. The TB+ in the guitar sized are fantastic pickups and have more balls that the black plastic version IMO.
I know the seller. Good dude. Has a couple 70's Tbirds as well, but not for sale.

I've played one gig with them but I hadda hold back. This gig I can push them a little, but I already know I like them. As Ernie Ball says, they feel like flats and sound like rounds. The Epi Bird has a P/J set up as built and I was considering changing the pup(s) to Thunderbuckers($400 +/-). The Cobalts cost $30 and give it that TBird sound.
