I remember this one!
New materials and building techniques really jumped in the 80s, and new sounds were available. So I guess that was part of the stepping forward and making a new big noise. There was a lot happening in the 80s politically too, and the punk thing was an influence on everyone.
My favorite era.

I think it's silly to be embarrassed by something like that. The world is full of music. All different kinds! That wouldn't be the case if we all listened to the nay-sayers, gave in to peer pressure, and listened to the same thing as everyone else. If a song weaves itself into the fabric of your life... you wear it. It doesn't hafta be on the front page... but it's in there none the less. The people that matter the most, are the one's who'll deal with it, and accept you for who you are (which includes the music you listen to). The ones that don't, don't matter anyway! I saw WA in their prime (74?) in KC - also got my '63 II around then.
I can't recall which album or the name of the song but there was a bass solo on one that I'd like to hear again - anyone know the song? Either on Wishbone Ash, Argus, or Pilgrimage.Latest posts
