Thunderbird Club

I don’t get why people have to be like that.
Just this morning, someone asked if it was worth experimenting with capacitor values in his bass and right away someone posts “this has been covered - search it”
Why not just answer the feckin question?
The point of a forum is discussion. But everyone likes to be a moderator. Lot of folk out in GP with self esteem issues, apparently. Nothing like putting on a vulgar display of insecurity to shore up one's self image.

Am I the only one who's never been able to find what he was looking for with the search function? So far the search, and the alert functions seem to be little more than bad excuses for good ideas.

Yeah, I rarely find what I am looking for with the search function. I have assumed that my searches are for things that don't exist. Maybe I should search up some good searching instructions. I think good searching instructions should be filed under:

Now's your chance...

DAMMIT!!! I just LUUUUUUUUUUV that LavaBurstdrool
Go ahead, treat yourself to something special.

I know it's the business and I just hate @GBassNorth for having one :roflmao:
Come to the dark side darling!

It's a nice price! Wish I could:greedy:
Save your wishes for kissing frogs, buy the beast and never look back!

I have mixed results with searches within TB. A lot of times a google search leads me back to an old post within TB.

Quick question about pickup placement for those who have built or modded previously: When considering the neck pick up location on a 2014 Thunderbird, about 2 1/2 inches (6.5cm) from the end of the fretboard, if that pick up were a 1/2 closer to the bridge, (traditional J-Bass placement), would the tone be radically different? I understand there might be some difference but I am curious if there would be a noticeable difference? Thoughts?

For my 60th this year. An awesome boxed set.
