Thunderbird Club

I got a call to sub for one set with a rock band at an outdoor show on Saturday. I expect backline to be provided.
This is a perfect gig for the VP (with RS66's) - it's heavy rock power trio.
I'm trying to decide if I should bring my pedalboard so I can go wireless (Line6 G30) and use the Big Muff and octave pedal to fill out the sound during solos.
I've done one other gig with these guys where I just showed up with my VP, plugged it in and just dug in for extra grind during the solos. I pretty much did my best Geezer impression;)
What do you think?

I'd say go old school. If you're not a klutz like me who falls over anything, even if it's 10' away.

Your 'bird won't let you down, but since yer going in to the unknown... a pedalboard shouldn't take up too much space in the car. Better to have it & not need it, than to need it & not have it;)

As for straight forward sex appeal... I think Debbie had the trophy. That was part of her schtict though. Linda Ronstadt remains the most appealing in this group for me. Primarily due to the fact that she's known to be a wonderful, sincere, sweet, kind person to her family, friends, employees, and co-workers. Ya take all that & wrap it up in a package like this, and you gotta winner:thumbsup:

Any of you guys check this tune out from the Studio 606 soundtrack? It's essentially the Foo Fighters with Stevie Nicks. I think it's a pretty cool tune...

As far as "keeping up with this board"... I gave up weeks ago and do not even try when I check in. I go right to the last page and keep up during the day the best I can. Had Miles not posted, I would have missed your uncle's passing and that may have appeared to you or others as if I chose not to comment. That's the risk I take with my new approach to this "club" and it has its pitfalls.

Again, so sorry to hear this news but glad I caught the post so I could express my sentiment. Take care, friend.

Yeah, it seems we hog down this board with lots of TBird unrelated topics (myself a primary offender) which makes it difficult for folks with less time to find tidbits of information they may have been seeking without going through loads of pages when they have not been logged on for awhile. Don't get me wrong, I love being on here and joking and sharing etc. but am not sure this is the true intention of this club. On the other hand intuition tells me that more posts are better for the club? Or is this just the way we roll and members rely on member's kindred spirit in pointing them to posts that may interest them when asking about something that may have been covered already? I have seen quite a bit of that as well..:thumbsup::thumbsup:

We tend to address peoples' questions on the fly as opposed to sending them on a lengthy, difficult, frustrating, and (usually) fruitless search. The conversation rolls around to dern near every topic under the sun. By the time we get back to a familiar topic, I don't think most of us mind discussing it again (I know I don't). "Upon Request" is the only way to fly around here:thumbsup:
