I measured my Goth and Epi NR neckplates and they were both 2.5 inches top to bottom. Same measurement on my St. Blues P bass. Can't speak for all neckplates but those matched up.

@wolfkeller created a Hamer-Type finish on one of his Birds. Turned out nice. I say go for it!!
Thanks!!

I saw that! Looked good. I wanna try and do it with Nitro

A 4 hole neck plate may be one of the only guitar parts that are consistently the same regardless of brand or type (bass or guitar). Now that I've said this someone may find one that isn't, but I've never seen one.

Gonna bring this baby out to a rock rehearsal tomorrow:

What does it sound like? And what does it weight? Lucite isn't exactly a flotation device, more like an anchor. But, I bet it's got an interesting and different sound due to density.

Didn’t @Andii Syckz do one like that also? I may be mistaken

When i first got my epi goth bird back in 2011, i had done the whole sixx hamer bird stripes with red tape & in thin lines. But my most recent, the Tigerbird, was all done with a blowtorch, giving the tigerstripe look & more rawness to itself. The Epi goth is becoming a whole other beauty in its own rights this time around. Can't wait to have it finished & showcase it here :)

I played it for one set at a pub gig and my friend in the back of the pub said it was much more articulate than my Jazz Bass Special which I had used for the previous set. And it’s a short scale...

The neck PU is the standard 70’s Japanese bass humbucker and the bridge PU is a Schecter which I assume is a guitar PU. I like it with both pickups on. I’ll see if I can record it into my audio interface so you can hear it.

Yeah lucite is heavy. I wouldn’t want to play a whole night with it. I think it’s about 10lbs, but I’ll weigh it later.
