Thunderbird Club

Short Scale Gibson Thunderbird Bass. Wow! Has anyone seen or played one, or have one? How do they sound? Can they be found out there? I'd love to get one.

I saw one for sale a while back, online. Kinda pricey. I would *love* to get my hands on one, but out of my range any time soon.

Since @dukeorock & @JJR58 are showing their new basses I figured I could post this, since I just got it back from the shop:

I had the neck pick up moved so that it is 1 1/2 inches from the base of the neck. WAY more low end. It was almost five inches from the neck previously.

I also added a MIJ Jazz neck, 62 Re-Issues, new pickguard from Warmouth and Schaller tuners. This bass sounds so much better with the Lollar pickus now in the "correct" spots!

Here is how the pickups were configured before:

I may add the pickup ring depending. Its a dummy that is glued on.

Jazz no more!

I'm certain no other J sounds like that one!

Has the syllable “tort” been banned?
Not at all. As you can see, I have tort on my Les Paul 0426182112-00 (1).jpg

These days watches send text messages

...and take phone calls and make phone calls. Track fitness, check the market, weather and most every other thing my iPhone can do without having to go to my phone. One of the coolest things it does for me is launch music on my iPhone by talking to Siri.

"Siri? Shuffle Led Zeppelin's entire catalog." Of course, you can ask for any song in your library, "Siri? Play Ramble On."

And waiting for cookies will never be the same without Siri.

One thing that p!sses me off is that Siri can no longer differentiate between albums and songs of the same name. 'Siri, play the Paranoid album'
'Okay here is Paranoid by Black Sabbath [the song not the album, cause I'm incapable of understanding the word 'album']' :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

You're right and yes it's annoying. I just tested mine with the album, "Houses of the Holy" and it went to the song of the same name. Yup, Siri needs to learn the difference between a song and an album.

It even used the word album in its response but still went to the song.

First world problem, for sure. :roflmao:

She used to know the difference.... then Steve Jobs died and she became an alcoholic and lost some hard drive cells.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

That looks like a better built case than the ones they list now.

Most likely an older model i've got. I'm not complaining, the red velvet interior is choice. I'm glad i didn't have to modify the velvet, only the styrofoam that was under to fit my Tigerbird.

Did you get that case used?! If not from where?! I’ve been looking for that style coffin case ever since I got my Warlock!

I bought it used on local market online. It's impossible to come by new here in Montreal, Qc. The Coffin brand isn't sold anywhere here, so we have to either get new online from states or overseas, or in my luck used.

You kids and your obsession with having just a hit song. Eschewing the decades of album oriented music. Wanting to buy one song at a time. Siri is just doing what you demand of it. You are to blame! Now GET THE HELL OFF MY LAWN!

Coffin Cases are hard to come by new... and they aren’t as nice as the one you have.

Out with the band or at rehearsal, I'm wearing wrist bands

I love Rickenbackers, especially 4001s. I do love to toss a little trash talk at 7ender but, really we all should be playing what makes us happy regardless of the name on the headstock :)

SEXY!!!!!!!!
