Thunderbird Club

Well, of course. That has become a requirement. What I want to know is why he's slacking. There's an empty spot on the wall. He clearly needs another bass guitar.
Sorry dude, I was so frickin tired last night!
Saturday afternoon I replaced rotors and pads on my Tacoma and mowed the lawn (forecast called for rain Sunday). Then I played a gig Saturday night and got home about 1:30.
My daughter was at a band camp and started texting my wife at 7:30AM. My wife, not wanting to miss any texts, left her iPad sound on. You know that bell “ding” sound they make?

I'm a big fan of Woody, and have been for years.... here lately, I've been watching lots of stuff on his tones as well as Thunderbird clips. I'm starting to really lean towards picking up a Vintage Pro..... As a newcomer to the Tbirds, SCHOOL ME.

I used to own an Epi Explorer bass I really liked a lot, but needed cash/you know that story.. my background is jammy/rock based, and lots of pedals/dirt/effects. Main basses are Lakland Decade and Lakland Jazz, but I also own a Rumblekat & Lakland Hollowbody. Is there a definitive set of things I need to know about these instruments? Audio/Video clips I must see/hear? I've not seen any to test locally.

Saturday night I played a hard rock gig and the bassist for the first band pulls out a Tbird Pro IV - the one with hippy stripe.
I noticed he was having trouble when setting up, so I went up and asked. It turned out his battery was dead. Nobody had a 9V handy, so I lent him my VP. He loved it and it was fun to watch it in action!
I guess that was a little risky, but I’ve met him before and it seemed like the right thing to do.

Bass players sticking together....way cool...most guitarists would have said "sorry bud"..

It turns out I have one more bass guitar than I have stands/hangers for.

That blue-gray P-Bird on the left end looks just like my P-Bird. Except a different color and with a matching headstock. I think the P-Bird needs to get out to play this evening. It's just a rehearsal, but I have been playing the '91 a lot lately. Time to switch things up. Or maybe the EB. That hasn't been out much lately, either. Choices are good. By comparison to your herd, I'm the slacker!
