reminds me of riding motorcycles in the street. Been puled in front of, turned in front of all kinds of things that'll kill a guy. In my circle we always said..."it doesn't matter who's right, your still dead!". Let that train ride on through.
Acrylic?Powder Blue Plaid, made of what material?
take it you're not an NR fan huh?...Maybe we should stick with RB (Real Bird) and NRB (Non {R-word of your choice} Bird).

Not a fan of the ‘real’ word in this context. Both are real, preference may differ.Maybe we should stick with RB (Real Bird) and NRB (Non {R-word of your choice} Bird).
are you saying a Variac is basically a reostat?in a nutshell without all the specifics, in theory, if you reduce the 120 volts from the wall outlet to your amp, the amp will not be as loud and will distort earlier. a Variac will allow you to do this..
Do you really need to ask?Powder Blue Plaid, made of what material?
I'm looking for some high-waisted (with an elastic band) pants to wear to the dinner special at the local Sizzler - gotta get done early so I can watch Matlock at 4:00PM.

Me? Not really. But it is not a J, so all is well.take it you're not an NR fan huh?...![]()
although it can behave like one it's, not. it will not get warm because it's not a resistor like a rheostat. (well it will for different reasons)are you saying a Variac is basically a reostat?

It's an auto (one winding instead of 2 or more) transformer with an adjustable tap...

yes, for what he called his "brown tone"..If memory serves, Eddie Van Halen's sound was hard for others to reproduce because he was using a Variac on his amps; setting them to about half line voltage.
Yep! I quickly started assuming half the people could not see me at all, and the other half would happily kill me if they thought they could get away with it. In over 20 years of biking, I only had one serious wreck and less than ten minor wrecks. Still too many, but I'm still alive and well (queue Jerry LaCroix vocals)!

Ok, then, a non non-reverse."Regular", no Bird is "regular". It's a secret weapon. Not standard issue.
It took a moment-or 2- to figure out "footy".Not a fan of the ‘real’ word in this context. Both are real, preference may differ.
Bit like a footy club. You can follow for 50 years but if you don’t agree with every move by the management / owner some will trot out the “not a real fan” diatribe. Pfft to that.
Hmm.are you saying a Variac is basically a reostat?
Found this video that helped me a lot, lets see if I can get it in here:although it can behave like one it's, not. it will not get warm because it's not a resistor like a rheostat. (well it will for different reasons)
