Which actually makes way more sense than the way that setup is most commonly used. Like, way more sense.
Paul McCartney uses a Mesa 1200...one of the dumbest cab designs around. He’s still amazing, it’s just a lame cab The audience never hears that cab and he stands just a few feet in front of it, where I’m sure it sounds fine, so long as you’re never off axis from it.

I read a review from several years ago in a fairly major gear magazine. The guy considered Thunderbirds one trick ponies. I was gobsmacked. Everyone is allowed their opinion, but I was appalled that made it into print.

It makes me happy when people say stuff like that. It makes 'Birds more available to those of us who actually know. If the world at large doesn't get it, that's their problem, not ours.

4 x 12 is the mutt's.

The tower of jank has two 10s and two 12s in a 12-10-10-12 vertical linear array. It sounds reasonably good with a decent head. With a crappy Hartke head, it sounds awful but looks jankier. It's not exactly a room filling cabinet, and it is heavy as fvkk, but it sure looks absurdly great. It also takes up next to no real estate.

I think if I was going large I'd look at 4*x12s in some configuration.*or more

I'm using a MB 2 X 12 almost exclusively these days....love it, 800Watt @ 4 Ohm, 34 pounds...can't beat that..

Yep! It’s such a perfect bass I won’t be sad if it doesn’t sell, but I really just have way too many basses at the moment. Wanting a new synth and the new Mesa WD800. I’m a Mesa endorser, but they ain’t free
