...The neat thing about the TBird is IMHO it's every bit as much a chameleon as a P bass, just bigger and badder. Sound and looks wise it'll fit just about anywhere. Will you have to deal with a raised eyebrow from a soundman or a guitarist that you haven't worked with before? Maybe, and if you have the chops you can put that to rest in pretty short order. Likewise, it can be equally fun to torque their little minds by bringing something that looks familiar to them but sounds familiar to you. So much fun, so little time.![]()
I read a review from several years ago in a fairly major gear magazine. The guy considered Thunderbirds one trick ponies. I was gobsmacked. Everyone is allowed their opinion, but I was appalled that made it into print.
