Your point is spot on though in that tons of gear/fx doesn’t necessarily make a great recording. I love your less is more ethic and I share it!

I have been going down a more is more rabbit hole in an attempt to come up with adequate recordings while we all play at the same time. Isolating a loud drummer in a small room is proving to be the problem. Moving a single mic around to get the balance right was a whole lot of fun when it was just unplugged bass fiddle, vocals, and a low key electric guitar. The mic was a tube condenser. Not Telefunken, but then I'm not Bowie.
Who has the most Hellishly Obnoxious rig?
I understand what they’re saying but I’m not totally convinced or persuaded... 10s and 12s are capable of producing lower frequencies.... so there are exceptions.... as a general rule as per the STOCK offerings of ampeg...the 18 goes the lowest. I think the general rule is noteworthy and the exception simply interesting.
Is the white one missing a pickup? Nicely covered with a sticker? Good quick fix. Guitarist from guns n roses is convinced of the tone value of one pickup...less magnetic pull on the string vibrations.... good enough for me.

I didn’t have the head phones but guitar and bass were dominant. Could barely hear bass and vocals.
Always interesting to see what books people put on their shelves. Is it like a trophy case to show off the intellectual fodder that has been consumed, a statement of who he/she is or would like to be, or something else?
Notable here (and in no particular order) books about dictators, fear and terror, languages, what looks like several books on Malcolm X, Lord of the Rings, and what appears to be many penguin books classics. The obvious conclusion is that the owner is planning on travelling many places looking for the ideal situation to become a fearsome dictator.
What is even more interesting is that there are no shoes or hats belonging to a mod (although there appears to be a book on the subject).

What it is....is bllsht. Lol it doesn’t sound as good as it could.... vocal too low bass too low....just alll guitar and drums....I admit I didn’t use headphones but still. Bass shouldnt sit under the guitar in Volume but Frequency.

PM me, I worked with the guys in engineering at Universal Audio when working (we all did) as a hardware designer at E-MU/Creative and you probably didn't know that they are in Scotts Valley......the old Sequential Circuits (Prophet 5) gang....
Orville question - when you took it to single pup status did you move the bridge pup up? Or just leave the neck pup in situ ?
