Thunderbird Club

Before my conversion to Bass Burners, there was something bothering me about the feel of the Rotos, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Post Bass Burner I worked out it was the 80 A string, which you wouldn't think was discernably thinner than an 85.

I have rediscovered Smith Bass Burners thanks to the discussions here. I think Carlo mentioned them first and that made me order them. They are on several of my basses now and I am enjoying getting reacquainted with them. I still like DR's on some basses tho. Gotta have some variety.

Music room is safe, but the stereo in the living room? We have old style floor stereo speakers. haron keeps pictures and candles atop them. If I crank it, I have to move them somewhere safe; they tend to cliff dive otherwise.

We have speakers on stands, stands filled with gravel. We keep cats on top of them.

Variety = reverse, non-reverse, Fenderbird. Almost makes you dizzy.

Well, floor speakers for the stereo left when we got married. I run early Bose Acoustimass at “sane” volume levels except when nobody else is home. They still sound great 35 years later.

My favorite speakers are still Bose 901 Model 3s or 802s run through a good parametric EQ to suit the room, not Bose's EQ. (Not that I have any. I used to crank these after hours at a hifi/P.A. store in Atlanta.)

And yeah, they're mainly cranked when I'm home alone.

You're Kevin McAllister???

Time to expand on that, fella!
Just not a movie buff. I'd rather watch NHL or MLB or football, pretty much in that order. BTW, on the 'soccer' vs 'football' debate, IMO, Americans say 'soccer' so they aren't asked "what kind?" when they say football. Anywhere else a person would specify "American Football" knowing that 'football' would mean..., well, football.
