Thunderbird Club

I was a little surprised at how far Netflix went with some of the scenes of sex and drugs. I thought they would dial it back a bit. Just for the record I am not complaining about any of that being in the film. I just thought they would play it safe to appeal to a wider audience.
After sitting through a few episodes of Orange Is The New Black with the wife I can tell you that Netflix isn’t afraid to show anything.

The director is of the MTV Jackass alumni also.

Better than Bohemian Crapsody.

Nothing beats Eddie & The Cruisers though, even if it is fiction.:roflmao:

Ok non-music q, a quick one... anyone using a bookkeeping app on their phone? What do you use?
I don't use an app. But, I have experience with both Simply Accounting and QuickBooks. I would take QuickBooks over Simply Accounting. I know several public companies and an off-shore hedgefund running their books with QuickBooks.

Who's That finally has a booking agent, she's done more for us in two weeks than we were able to do in 9 months! I should be posting more Thunderbird/Hiwatt video soon. All set up for tonight's show.

Same recommendation here. I use Quick books on my desktop to manage all the advertising accounting I do for a non profit, it works great. No idea if or how well it would run on a smart phone though.

I am impressed at how flexible and extensible QuickBooks is.

Conversely, I have experience with both Oracle and SAP. Oracle is flexible and incredibly complicated but if you are an SQL programmer, you can get it to do what you want. SAP on the other hand is a good German piece of software - you organize your enterprise around it and it runs everything and locks all your data up tight. Little problematic if you had any intention to do something with your data, like produce financial reports, tax reporting, etc. In the SAP system I worked with, data was so difficult to retrieve that a data warehouse was built on top of it. And the data warehouse was so unwieldy that another data warehouse was built on top of the first data warehouse. I highly recommend installing SAP at your competitors; they will grind to a halt while adding people to try to run the system.

Isn't there a band called "The Angry Canadians"?
I think you're thinking of the Angry Samoans?

I wouldn't know a Mötley Crüe song if I fell on it. The only thing I knew was Sixx played Birds some of the time. There's a part where he lamps someone with his Bird ... then is able to resume playing it. Nah. Anyway that was probably my first and last foray into the world of hair metal.
Check out the album Too Fast For Love. I think it still holds up. Very raw.

Thanks but I'll pass. Lots of other music in this world I haven't listened to yet.

In the past 36hrs I've written three songs and (hopefully) found a singer (who can actually sing). I'm going to give myself the rest of the day off.

I'm working on a trade for an Epiphone Vintage Pro in white. I love the white, but no so much a fan of the white pickguard on a white bass. I'd like to get a black pickguard but haven't found anyone that has it. Is anyone making a black pickguard for this with the TBird logo on it?

Go for a metal pickgard with LEDs under the Bird logo? Would look blingtastic.

I’m from the same neighborhood as some of those dudes, so I bought ‘Too Fast For Love’ on their own Leather records when it came out. Still have a place in my heart for Live Wire :)
