I'm just liking the morphine -- not the rest though...
In a few people, morphine can cause dysphoria. I have never met anyone who suffers morphine dysphoria; everyone likes it.
@dukeorock get better; enjoy the morphine.

I cannot like this. Heal up! Morphine scares the crap out of me.Last night was the first time in my career where I had to sub out my gig due to illness. Turns out it was legit because I’ve been in the ER all day and have to spend at least one full night here :/
Morphine is kinda rad, though
I use XM on my phone too. I love that they play a lot of the oddball/lesser known songs by bands.XM in the car, Spotify in the home and office. Ain’t cheep. But Over the last five or six years I’ve been so much into music that My only other time sink is baseball, which I still love. I’ve been exposed to tons of new, and new to me music through those two resources.
White birds are lovely.

I've started to dislike Guns N Roses because at work I can just hear 3 different radio stations that are all rock and all 3 play Welcome To The Jungle, Paradise City, and Sweet Child O Mine..... EVERY DAY.... sometimes twice. But XM usually plays Out Ta Get Me or It's So Easy, even Nightrain all fantastic songs

Watched a good TV show the other day. Our public broadcaster, the ABC, has a series called The Recording Studio.
It is set up to be emotional but apart from that it was pretty cool. The episode I saw had two stories going.
One a Grandfather farmer that had played in a country band for 50 years but never recorded. His family all play together in a bluegrass band and arranged for them to record with him as part of the show. They recorded “Roll in my Sweet Babies Arms”. When I check who else had done it I saw “The Legendary Shack Shakers” - that’s @dukeorock isnt it ?
The other story was a girl with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) who recorded a song to thank the nurses etc that looked after her. Very good too.
A little bit about the show:
‘The Recording Studio’ to premiere on ABC TV this week
Duke - get well soon!
In the meantime...

I liked when the bloke brings in his special, old, mic especially for the family and they go through the whole thing, great take - ‘excellent everyone’ etc. then the engineer calls out... ‘actually didn’t get any of that’ . Do it all again.Yeah, was watching that thinking why doesn't someone tell them they can buy a stereo mic and software and make as many records as they want in that style.
Thanks, George! Very kind, as usual
That’s pretty cool! I want to say Flatt & Scruggs did that song first, but I’m on heavy duty painkillers![]()
Chevelle is also overplayed on XM.The bands that I hear too much on XM are Scorpions and Dokken. Almost every single time I am driving they are on one of the stations I skim thru. I agree that the 3 G n'R songs you mentioned are overplayed on all radio. I appreciate it when they play some of the other songs from the debut.

I’m still on my free trial, but I’m definitely going to continue it!
