More or less, the body was well battered when I got it, no hardware or electrics. When I'd filled the holes decided to spray edges black. There is still Mark's on the back where the pup screws had come through.

Had a kidney stone while at sea in the Navy. They gave me a sedative called Doriden(hadn't been sleeping b/c the pain). Told me not to take it 'til I was sitting on the edge of the bed, then lay down. They weren't kidding.

Hey everyone. I just picked up a 2013 Gibson thunderbird yesterday. I would like to get some chrome covers for the pick ups but I'm not sure how involved it is to get the old covers off.
From everything that I've read it's not a simple unscrew the old one and pop a new one on.

So my question is this. For someone who isn't very mechanically inclined and doesn't have many tools at their disposal. How hard is it to replace the covers? Thanks!!!

A colleague was just hospitalized with kidney stones. Not a good time at all.

Ah, kidney stones. With my first one, I was introduced to Toradol, which is a super duty NSAID. One shot and the pain was gone - until the ride home, when it came roaring back:-(

So I just took the pickup out and there is no way that I'm getting that casing off of it. So if I want them to be silver I'll have to replace them with something else
