Yeah, me....The Greco is an object of desire and a whole lot more reasonably priced than a '60s Gibson. Somebody here needs that one.
Lol. There, I said it.

The only real itch i have right now, instead of trying my go at a 5th bass. Is to replace the ChinaBuckers.
Totally spoiled by the Lollars. What's really catching me now is a set of these.
In cream.

Will they do the Angry Piano Dance? Those are much less expensive than Lollars and Thunderbuckers.
Also, that Greco eats Strats. What's up with that?
Just a fact. Also, that Greco eats Strats. What's up with that?
Ooh, a Thunder'Tron might be worth trying out, if only for the name. The only real itch i have right now, instead of trying my go at a 5th bass. Is to replace the ChinaBuckers.

That Embassy kills it. I think I've found the right string now. Used TI Jazz Rounds about three times now and I'm loving the low and monstrously thick sound of this combination. Sounds great with finger or pick. I don't think it sounds as good as my '64 T-bird IV, which has different strings, but holy cow this thing sounds and is awfully close as those luscious lows go thundering out. It's even lighter than the '64, or anything I have. It's like the old T-bird in that when I'm playing I'm also caught up in how crazy good it sounds. Now I've got to put it down and get the VP out of the cage....Just because. And the thunderclaps. That and lightening bugs are among the few things I miss about Ohio.
I use an Ampeg B108 for Jazz ensemble class. I like the tone much more than the old Peavey combo at the music school. For those of you who use practice/smaller amps (100W or less), what do you like and why/why not?
Also, are any of the smaller amps built into real wooden cabs any more?
Sounds reasonable to me. Do it !A voice keeps whispering in my ear that I can sell the Epi IV and then the Greco is even cheaper.
I'm not listening! I'm not listening!
Just talking... I'm in no such shape for that now. Maybe if we get that re-fi in the fall...So buy it, already!![]()
Man, you’re lucky. I was in West L.A. today and it was miserable. Then I had to go to Canoga Park in the afternoon. I Really don’t like the valley.I'm up in Washington at the moment, might need to take a field trip and check them out. If I hadn't just purchased the BaCH I'd pick up another Greco.
I gess yo can get throgh yor day withot ewesNo. It may have had a color, but never a colour.

Time for new tags on the Subie?Angry, angry Bird - Mr. Greco is a very Angry Bird, he eats 7enders!

Maybe it was the overload on your retinas?Could be. But I suspect it's primarily that hundreds of megavolts at many thousands of amps can ionize almost anything. I can't swear it was the walls; it might have been the air. My hair definitely stood on end. It was a bizarre feeling.
I wrote a program to model lightning for a professor in college; the behavior is interesting. One strike is actually multiple strikes within a very brief time frame, helping to explain the pattern I saw.
