It could have been the horible packing job. It was a bass in a box in another box with a four inch tall piece of styrophome "around" the head.

Any bumps on the box? Is possible damage was done in transit.
I thought it was just me, and kept my mouth shut to avoid looking inept.

It was tweeked a little neck area though. I pulled the cavity cover and there is a small crack in the paint under there as well but not enough of one to cause any concern.
Sounds like a broken wing in the making to me... PITA, but that's NOT what was advertised.
Ok, so I'm going to consider this pretty well established I guess at this point. Right up there with the flat black pick guard...

So, wots yet plan? Getting at least something back I hope, then fix it? Or just send the whole works back for a refund?
Don't know if a broken wing is fixable without taking it off as whole.

I paid $235 which includes $45 shipping.
I sent them a email through ebay in regards to the crack, which I spoke wrong - it's in the back above the control cavity, told them what I found after a five hour warm up time. And I sent them three pictures of the crack.
Esentially i will ask for $100 off. I fully expect them to kringe at that. Hopefully we will be anle to come to a compromize we can both be happy with. If they choose to be asshats then it'll just go back. Either way i will bring up the "feedback" and tell them I would like to be able to give them all 5 stars. We'll see how they handle things.

So, how did the show go and did your new guitar player live up to your expectations?
The show went great! We sold out the bar, they reserved tables with NYE goodies at over $100.00 apiece as well. Trisha did a fine job considering it was her first time ever playing out dressed - a few boo-boos but nothing tragic, the rest of us just played through, the crowd probably barely notices, we as musicians of course are more critical. Overall tho, everybody was happy and she's a really nice bandmate. The purse was nice too, 2 comped hotel rooms and 2K to split between the 5 of us, not bad for 3 sets of music.
