Actually, I suspect they were playing games when they got busted by the feds. Or they were sloppy. Either way, it's Henry J's legacy of mismanagement. They seem to be righting the ship a bit, however awkwardly. I hope the internal misery is changing. Unhappy guitar builders are not a good way to crank out high quality work, although I haven't personally seen the low quality that get alleged all the time. As long as Gibson survives to build again, there's hope. I don't really care what the bashers have to say. There are Fender bashers, Ric bashers, and probably every other kind of guitar bashers. Sometimes they have a point. Sometimes they don't.
