I'm guessing Friday is the cat's name.
I assumed that the picture was taken on a Friday and that @Kriegs was just thrilled with the photo.
you look happier than when you are playing reverses.....I'm just heading off to work, which has been keeping me pretty busy over the past two weeks or so, we are dealing with price changes from tariffs (again) and retagging a large lighting showroom is anything but a quick and easy task.
Meantime, Non Reverse.

You'll be very happy with the Dingwall, I'm a big fan (see my avatar). The ONLY reason I don't have a Dingbird is that I only play 5s, and Dingbird 5s are still a year or 2 away. String tension evenness from string to string has to be experienced to be believed, and the instrument balance and fit/finish are world class. I'm not a big fan of the new shape though (maybe it's to fend off Gibson lawsuits)...

Tried flats on my VP, Cobalts to be specific. They sounded great! Closer to a roundwound sound than any other flat I've tried. Of course because they're flats there's zero finger noise. I don't know what the tension on them was but they felt a lot stiffer than my DR Silver Star rounds (same as Black Beauties) and about the same tension as the Fender 7150 rounds that replaced the Cobalts. Again, I don't know what the tension was on the DR strings either, but I did not like the floppy feel of the E string. I like to dig in on loud passages and found the floppyness was significantly impacting my ability to play some songs as fast as required.
I have La Bella Black Tapes on my Goth and they too sound great. No finger noise on slides but like most tapes I've played they do make a unique subdued "clack" type sound when fretting hard. Might be the bass they're on (FrankenGoth with Bart Humbuckers, an Aggie preamp, and coil split capability) but to my ears they are cleaner and crisper sounding than the Cobalts were on my VP. Insanely musical sounding, approaching a baritone guitar in that regard. Not floppy at all.

Got em and like em, a lot. Cobalts and TI's. But it really is the, to each their own thing, as with rounds.
Didn't dig the Labella's, just to much low end.

I like Cobalt flats on several bass guitars. Not on the 2015 'Bird so much. Tapes sound fantastic with Chinabuckers on the '91. The pixie dust '01 has Black Beauties on it for now, but they are beginning to sound a bit dead. There are several sets of strings in the bits drawer that I'll root through, including a set of Cobalt Flats. I may have a set of Bass Burners as well. Whatever happens, I'll report back what colors the strings made. Kat will probably understand.

I really like Reverse way better as it turns out, however that was my first time playing the real deal, and I was very happy (and very happy to be visiting with Uwe again).
