Yeah, there's Red, White and Blue in that pic of mostly US made basses.

A few days ago I started on some new blood pressure medication that can make me a bit light headed sometimes. This morning I was rockin the 2015 when I got an odd dizzy off balance feeling, like losing my equilibrium. Had to brace myself to keep from falling. Was thinking, no way I'm staying on these meds, just too dangerous. Then I noticed all the hanging basses in the room were swaying side to side. Turned out to be an exceptionally long lasting slow rolling 6.4 earthquake. No where near where I live but felt all over SoCal. No damage here, just some rockin and rolling with the birds. :thumbsup:

Ha! I immediately thought you must have the house to yourself today when it happened. @Gaolee lives too far away to blame him and his ACC.

Tonight at dinner I'll be grilling hotdogs, mets, brats and bison sliders. We'll have potato salad and chips with French onion dip and watermelon followed by a red, white and blue cake. Tonight's toast will be to President George Washington, as we happily say Long Live the Republic.

OK, this just induces unclean thoughts about wanting more basses. And I have 15 as I recall.

Glad all is well. Seems like no one was hurt last I heard. We don't get quakes in Ky much. When it does happen, it is unnerving. There is a big fault a little West of us the experts say is going to cut loose one day and cause serious problems. Last time our dog noticed something odd before we noticed the larger moments. Weird feeling to have the bed shaking and it's not you!

Been dealing with changing BP the last year or so myself. It went up even after being on meds for likely 15 yrs. Added meds. Months later started going down and tapered off all meds. Strokes run in my family so I don't play with BP.

I hear ya on the KY front. I lived in Northern KY for almost 35 years. Beautiful countryside, wonderful horses and great down to earth people. But if that New Madrid fault ever let's loose it could all be wiped out in an instant. The ground is different there (high water table, clay and shale, lots of Hills and ridges) liquefaction would be devastating, not to mention lack of seismic building codes. We only had a couple of small quakes while I lived there but they actually felt bigger than the same size quake here, not sure why.

I’m ninety miles from the epicenter and felt a good shake. My wife said the pool sloshed around quite a bit. Nothing fell or broke. It was close to the China Lake Navel Weapons Center in Ridgecrest. I suspect we won’t know what all happened there for a few days. Most of the base was empty for the holiday. It happened in the middle of freakin’ nowhere. What is scary though, is that a poorly constructed earthen dam at Lake Isabella, and which has been on a list to fix for fifteen years, could have taken a real hit had it been stronger. I’m not allowed to say anymore on here about how I really feel about that.
