As long as we are on fruity beer...
Anyone ever try this one?

I tried it out of curiosity once. And then had it again on purpose several more times. I really does taste of banana and beer. And it is really unexpectedly good.
For those so inclined...
ALICE COOPER To Release 'Breadcrumbs' EP In September
I always loved this photo.Alice is one busy septuagenarian! In the last number of years, he seems to have been spending some time paying homage to where his music comes from. The song choice and guests look interesting. I'll certainly be giving it a listen!
Interesting path from glam/shock rocker to elder statesman of rock.
Pineapple seems to be the hot beer/fruit combination this summer. Both beers we enjoyed yesterday had some pineapple. I particularly like the coconut finish with the hops and robbers.
I played a J yesterday. It didn't sound that great to me.

No doubt. I'm a little concerned about which body part, too.Heathen!
I'm pretty sure a body part is going to fall off of you as a consequence![]()
I like the sound of a P, but after playing Thunderbirds as much as I have over the past few years, they sound a little one dimensional. They don't have the inky blackness to the sound or the electric blue around the edges. Thunderbirds can get the maroon P sound, but a P can't get the dark blue-green sound that a Thunderbird can get.I’ve got a couple of nice ones, yet I still struggle at times to get what I want out of them. When I hit the right combination of the VVT I get there, but I can’t always readily find that combo. Plus, it seems the pup outputs are on the lower side as compared to most other basses I own.
Mine are both sig models, US Geddy and an Adam Clayton. Super quality builds, but take a bit of effort to sound fab.

You have two of everything you really need. One brain. What's that tell you?Eh........... At my age it'd just be one less thing to worry about.
Sweet Senility.![]()
I want to like the J sound/ voice/ tone but it just sounds too anemic to my ears. I like the effect that a single coil adds to a P bass, especially when they are MFD pups and are installed in this platformI played a J yesterday. It didn't sound that great to me.

I liked the P sound enough that I built a Fenderbird that's a P in all but shape. At this point, it's nice to have, but I play the Thunderbirds. The last time the Fenderbird came out, it sounded a little thin.I’m slowly getting there. I’m still bouncing strings on the Thunderbird, and I’ll do an update on that later, but still bring a P with flats as my backup/ crutch. Js seem to be spending more time at home.
My buddy just got his car sealed to preserve the look:When my Dad would see an unintentional finish approaching this look, he would always say: "I wonder what kind of wax he uses." When I see something like that I always think of him.
