Thunderbird Club

Alice is one busy septuagenarian! In the last number of years, he seems to have been spending some time paying homage to where his music comes from. The song choice and guests look interesting. I'll certainly be giving it a listen!

Interesting path from glam/shock rocker to elder statesman of rock.
I always loved this photo.

Pineapple seems to be the hot beer/fruit combination this summer. Both beers we enjoyed yesterday had some pineapple. I particularly like the coconut finish with the hops and robbers.

I wish i could remember the beer exactly, but i had this Staten Island Blood Orange IPA.
Everything about it was perfect, wasn't over bearing in the flavor department.
Gonna have to go back to the bar that serves it.

I played a J yesterday. It didn't sound that great to me.

I’ve got a couple of nice ones, yet I still struggle at times to get what I want out of them. When I hit the right combination of the VVT I get there, but I can’t always readily find that combo. Plus, it seems the pup outputs are on the lower side as compared to most other basses I own.

Mine are both sig models, US Geddy and an Adam Clayton. Super quality builds, but take a bit of effort to sound fab.

I like the sound of a P, but after playing Thunderbirds as much as I have over the past few years, they sound a little one dimensional. They don't have the inky blackness to the sound or the electric blue around the edges. Thunderbirds can get the maroon P sound, but a P can't get the dark blue-green sound that a Thunderbird can get.

No doubt. I'm a little concerned about which body part, too.

Eh........... At my age it'd just be one less thing to worry about.

Sweet Senility. :woot:

I’m slowly getting there. I’m still bouncing strings on the Thunderbird, and I’ll do an update on that later, but still bring a P with flats as my backup/ crutch. Js seem to be spending more time at home.

I liked the P sound enough that I built a Fenderbird that's a P in all but shape. At this point, it's nice to have, but I play the Thunderbirds. The last time the Fenderbird came out, it sounded a little thin.
