Thunderbird Club

:roflmao:
Roundabout! Now yer killin' me...

I've got the cab and eq a little more dialed in since then, that's new-to-me speaker box, has some interesting character. Pushes lows nice though.

Thanks for the kind remarks you guys, and the jazz quip! Yes indeed...

(I'll forward the nice remarks to the band...)
That’s pretty damn cool!

Very nice. Some don't care for the sidewinders, but my '76 sounds wonderful with Fender flats or TIs. But it's so heavy you could use it for body armor.

I am curious to hear your thoughts on your new bass vs. newer ones.

I really like the sound so far despite the dead-ish strings. I haven't had a Bicentennial Bird since 1991 so had forgotten a little about them. Compared it to my friends 76 that is wired differently (one is series, the other parallel) and the difference was not as dramatic as we expected. It plays and sounds fantastic tho and I am pretty sure its a keeper. Super low action and the neck feels great. I don't find it overly heavy but does seem heavier than my post 2001 models. My black Hamer Bird is MUCH heavier than any of my Gibson Birds so the 77 is a walk in the park comparatively. Will report more when I have more time with it.

Go for it! If need be you can simplify the bass line a bit. I can't pull it off very well because too many of the parts have to be played with a pic, but if you can pic you can get the job done.

...of course Your keyboard player might Club you over the head for suggesting it but your singer is perfect for the job.
You gotta get Yes in the line up somehow, maybe Owner of a Lonely Heart, that's an easy one.

Owner? Nah. They need to do this one:

This arrived yesterday. I am back in the vintage Thunderbird owner class once again. 1977 Thunderbird

More details and better shots later but wanted to get in on Thunderbird Thursday.

Kirby’s are basically the Thunderbirds of vacuum cleaners.

I don’t know...we had an Electrolux for 25+ years...solid as a Rock, easy to operate, and it came with a handy, hand-held ‘sidekick’ that was great for the pool table.
I was a Big fan, but my Bride wanted to ‘upgrade’.
We’ve had the new vacuum for several years now, an I feel the need to bitch about it Every time I use it! :roflmao:
