Thunderbird Club

According to the flood zone map, my street will be part of a nearby creek, but my yard won't. If Dorian doesn't make the turn they predict, I'm grabbing the 67 TBird, the LPB25, the Rumble 200c, and the cat and make tracks.
That brings up an interesting question. If you could only take one bass with you, which would it be? Mine would absolutely be my Thunderbird.

If we were still around Atlanta, I'd say to come on up!
You're very welcome to stay here, if Austin is where you want to weather the storm, but that's a bit more of a drive.

When we bought this house, it met almost every criteria but one- I really wanted either a pool or running water on the property. (There are creeks nearby, but not on our land.) But we only had three weeks from when we started looking to when we had to move (our buyer for our old house was in a hurry). We settled on this one with only a week to spare, and literally signed the day before we moved.

We found out later this house had previously been up for sale with no interest. Their realtor told them the pool was a detriment, so they tore it out and relisted. We would have bought it the first day we saw it if it had still had the pool!

Once it's paid off, I am thinking we should add a pool. The only question is whether it should be in the shape of Texas or a THUNDERBIRD.
Texas-with a Thunderbird logo on the bottom. JMHO.

Miles' Choice.
Clint or Nat? Clint or Nat? Who will die at Vormir?
If it comes to it, I'll decide then which Thunderbird goes with me. More likely, one of them will more effectively choose to stay than the other. After all, they chose me to begin with.
And then I will go help kill Thanos.

yeah, don’t get that, a pool devaluing the property? Huh?

Apparently some people see a pool as a liability, or at least something they don't want. That means less potential buyers. Most realtors will tell you that (at least around here, and back in Atlanta).

I finally named the Pro V after John Entwhistle- Quickbeam[1]. I almost went with Treebeard, but this bass is young and a bit hasty. I was originally thinking Boris (the Spider), but decided to keep that name in reserve in case I ever end up with an 8 string.

[1] Quickbeam being an Ent and all.

I just watched this again. These guys always leave me wrung out, almost as if I had been playing. One gets the impression that if Ronnie didn't reign them in, the band would just keep playing at the frenetic pace of Freebird's last half until someone dropped dead.
A performance like this- especially of Freebird- was what started my guilty secret of wishing I could play bass. It also sealed my desire for a Thunderbird (Leon used a Gibson TB on the earlier tours rather than the custom-bodied Fenderbird seen here). Allen's antics on a Firebird didn't help.
Also, Every Mother's Son is a perfect modern country song. It just happens to be written and played by a hard rock band back in the 70s.
I really really miss this band. But they've been gone a long time.

That 7enderbird was one of John Entwistle's.

I’ve seen a Les Paul shaped pool. Forget if it was tile or vinyl flooring but it had strings running through it and everything.

It’s true, my mom has been working at a pool store for years now, and talked to a lot of realtors, it greatly devalues a house due to the cost of maintaining it... and around here closing it in the winter.
