I picked this up for a decent price last night. First time as a GK owner so I need to get familiar with it. For those of you that have used the 700RB for your Birds, any tips on what settings you preferred?

The input volume on mine is at about 9:30, treble, and hi mid at 12:00, lo mid at 1:30, bass at 11:00, worked well with my GK cabs, magic with my SWR.

There are three types of bass players.
Those that have Thunderbirds.*
Those that want a Thunderbird.
Those that have not yet come to understand that they want a Thunderbird.
* Note that it is nearly impossible to have only one Thunderbird.
Two analogies out there...
Lays Potato Chips, no one can eat just one. Thunderbirds, no one can own just one. Both statements are so true.

"How many licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop". Except with Thunderbirds it's - "How many days does it take to get the urge to buy another Thunderbird". For me it's about 30 to 60 days. Without fail, just a month or two after I acquire a new bird I start looking for another one to add to the nest. It may take me years to find and buy it, but the search starts amazingly quick.
Is that really a problem? More availability for those who truly want them.

It was the transparent blue colour -very pretty!
I didn’t have time to plug it in. I could stop by again next week, but that might lead to more GAS!
I figured out the problem. It was a simple Moron issue.
The inputs are VERY stiff and I didn't get the jack in all the way.

If I do build an amp, it will be with 40 12AU7s as the power amp. Massively redundant and stupid. Just my style.
