I picked this up for a decent price last night. First time as a GK owner so I need to get familiar with it. For those of you that have used the 700RB for your Birds, any tips on what settings you preferred?

There are three types of bass players.I think you do!
Lovely Non Reverse reissue there! Please be welcome JJP_1984_LB50, we encourage your questions, don't use the search function here, Thunderbirds are their thing so we're here to help (enable) with all things related, you're number # 782, feel free to join the convo.
Two analogies out there...?...
* Note that it is nearly impossible to have only one Thunderbird.
Is that really a problem? More availability for those who truly want them.Makes me think that if he had done with a Thunderbird all the parts he had done with a Ric, then maybe he wouldn't have moved on to Wal etc.
And if only Gibson had made Lemmy a medium scale `bird as he had asked...
Maybe TB would be a different place with people making fun of those that choose to play 7enders. Claiming that they are impossible to EQ, the necks suddenly snap with no provocation, and that no serious professional would ever use one.
Congratulations! Love those. To add on to the Queen's suggestions, I'd start with the Contour knob all the way off (with extreme prejudice) and the EQ knobs at 12:00, then season to taste.I picked this up for a decent price last night. I used to know all that stuff (and even did repairs on TVs) but I have forgotten so much. Perhaps one day I will have time to relearn it all and build an amp from scratch. With 40 x 12AU7s as the power section.

Andy,
The input volume on mine is at about 9:30, treble, and hi mid at 12:00, lo mid at 1:30, bass at 11:00, worked well with my GK cabs, magic with my SWR.

Lays Potato Chips, no one can eat just one. Thunderbirds, no one can own just one. Both statements are so true.

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Litterally! That’s what scares me...
Is that a Nate Mendel? Can I ask you some questions via PM?
I'm guilty.
It was the transparent blue colour -very pretty!I haven't seen one in my local L&M yet. But I am looking forward to trying one out. Could be a good addition...
It fits the direction I was expecting the reborn Gibson to take - close the price gap between Epiphone and Gibson with some new offerings.
I figured out the problem. It was a simple Moron issue.seen it more than once. lemme know. PM if you prefer.
Maybe Geddy is holding the last Ebony 77?Is that really a problem? More availability for those who truly want them.
If I do build an amp, it will be with 40 12AU7s as the power amp. Massively redundant and stupid. Just my style.
Wait. You just might have been serious.![]()
