G&L is a great company. Ugliest headstock in the industry. Yeah, I’m shallow.Yes, those look solid and reliable. But to install one requires measurement and accuracy for which I do not have the patience and for which I will not pay someone.
Interesting aside - the Ric that Geddy played for so may years does not have a Ric bridge - it has a Badass installed.
Others beat me to it and posted Voices Carry. I would start with a listen to her album “Whatever.” Then Spotify her most played tracks before digging deeper. She has been around a long time and is great for quiet Sunday mornings. You’ve heard it before, just didn’t know her name.Don't know her. What would be your fave 2 or 3 songs I should check out?
I thought you were going to play drums with her. Don’t you already have a ticket? That would be worth a ticket to Oz. Especially if there is a flying piano show somewhere close by, but not right there.
That is a fantastic story! I have bee smiling like a lunatic for hours.

TL;DR - Got into trouble for playing pranks that got out of hand. RF power tubes are expensive. Thunderbird.
Dude, double CR for paragraphs would have made that much easier.I know, limitations of the phone...
Geddy & Lee? Didn't know they made basses, but I agree with the ugly part.G&L is a great company. Ugliest headstock in the industry. Yeah, I’m shallow.
So really no excuse then...Yeah, I try to do those and sometimes forget. That was on the computer; I don't do long stuff on the phone unless it's crucial. Like if someone needed help with a THUNDERBIRD.
That's the worst. They don't care how good your band is; just if you can bring in people ($$$).Saw one venue offering a night. They want you to bring four or five bands and a couple of hundred people.
On one hand, the purpose of entertainment is to bring in people to part with their money. But on the other, putting the onus on the band doesn't seem right either. Seems like the band should be good enough that people want to hear them and the bar owner's job to select the right band for the crowd he/she desires. There are reputation factors on both sides - the band needs to be known to be good enough that people want to hear them, the bar owner will have a reputation for the type of music that they bring in... It should be a symbiotic relationship, not a parasitic one. That's the worst. They don't care how good your band is; just if you can bring in people ($$$).

Exactly. It's a Catch 22. New band would need to have built up some sort of following to get people in. Bribing your friends isn't good enough. On one hand, the purpose of entertainment is to bring in people to part with their money. Yep it’s recycled hair band music.I always refer to todays, A-Hem!, country music as hacked up rolled around eighties rock.

Headstock fun
