Thunderbird Club

Hipshot and Babicz are the two popular ones for TBirds.
I thought I remembered some consternation about Babicz? To my eye, they seem really well built and easy to mount/ use. Then again, so does the HipShot, lol.... hrmm.... [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

The choice depends upon your intent to do windmills.
I have no such intent

I keep thinking about trying a G&L bridge on one of my 'Birds....

Each has it's proponents.

I like the Hipshot. @bylar13 likes the Babicz.*

I think both are good. It is an individual choice about what factors are most important to you. And to be honest, I can't recall now why I chose Hipshot over Babicz.

*with a windmill exception.

Yes, those look solid and reliable. But to install one requires measurement and accuracy for which I do not have the patience and for which I will not pay someone.

Interesting aside - the Ric that Geddy played for so may years does not have a Ric bridge - it has a Badass installed.

I went through a brief Osibisa phase.

I had at least one of their LP's - still love that sound! Since then I've become a big Ethiopiques (golden years of Ethiopian music 1969-1974) fan - the bass-lines are super-cool, a whole different take on "the 1".

he bought that Rick brand new (along with an SVT) when they got signed right before "Fly by Night" and played it stock right up to "Farewell to Kings" when he swapped for the Leo Quan.....smart, Ricks become totally different animals with denser bridges...
from the "All the World's a Stage" tour...

Dude! So am I! And yeah. Especially when they do the Twin Thing (or "Twhing").
I have a friend who is a twin. She is not identical to her twin brother (no, I don't mean around here, either). Her parents had one kid. Then they decided to have a second. That was twins. They thought they were done at three. Then they had an oops that turned out to be another set of twins. One of those twins was my friend. She was pretty happy they had that little slip-up. Her poor parents started out with the idea that they would have two kids and ended up with five in a big hurry. Only one was a girl. She's about as tough as they come. Surprise.
