Thunderbird Club

Now I'm confused.
How do you cook the potatoes (baked, mashed, boiled, scalloped, French fried...) and even more importantly, in light of the yogurt on the hiney comments, where do you put them?
Lastly, and most importantly, will I have to play my THUNDERBIRD standing up, or will I be able to sit?
Clearly you cook the potatoes in milk and serve them with a side of bread. Isn't that OBVIOUS! :hyper:

Proper washing doesn't necessarily solve the problem.

If you do it properly, it goes a long way. If you're really handling peppers (picking, slicing, etc.) vs just eating and might get something on you, it's best to wear rubber (whatever) gloves. My wife has to do that or she gets chemical burns from upper end potency jalapen~os.

YMMV, IANAL, etc.

Capsaicin, the chemical that accounts for the spiciness, has a long aliphatic tail. This makes it very fat soluble. By eating or drinking anything that contains a decent about of fat (milk is a great choice because the fat is emulsified keeping the offending molecule away from sensitive mucus membranes) the capsaicin partitions into the fat removing the sensation of burning.

Cheese and sour cream are your friends!

Yes, but my concern is for my own amusement. :)

I think the true tragedy of those filling the pool is that they never developed any skill sufficiently that they could get a job that didn't involve filling a pool with custard. I can't even imagine what I would think if I saw a resume with "filled a pool with custard" on it. Oh sure, the person would get an interview, but only to satisfy my own morbid curiosity.

Well, the guy who convinced all those other guys to actually do it might indicate a career in politics is possible...

I will, its been a long process so far and I dont expect it’ll be done all that soon. I have the neck (Hillimire) bridge (our own Scott Dasson), pup and electronics are on the way. I need paint and clear. My only real hang up is grain filler or no and Inverness green (59 Cadi) or Verdoro green (68 Pontiac GTO). Both greens would fitt the bill beautifully. Imho
Great. Looking forward to hearing about this one, but I was talking about the $250 VP from eBay.

The only downside to over-specing your capacitors on voltage is an increase in size. And you can always double your voltage spec by connecting two in series.
ah yes....dividers (inevitable sometimes)...problem there is you end up with twice the heating due to the high Al electrolytic ESR reducing MTBF...

I think he's making a potato THUNDERBIRD. Gotta be fried.

Yeah the VP’s are sweet.I bought one of the first Embassy Basses when they first came out. That was before the T-Birds were available.I moved the 760’s from the Embassy to another Bass and the sound followed the pickups..filled the open spots in the Embassy with Chinabuckers. When the VP Thunderbirds came out I bought two.A black and white..gotta love em.

I am not exactly certain what any of this has to do with Thunderbirds, but I like cheese and potatoes, so I'm in.
:cool:Think of this thread as nothing more than a big rambling jazz fest, where all the bass players are sporting Thunderbirds and injecting twists and flits and fills and licks that tangentially have something to do with the main topic (THUNDERBIRDS) but might not be immediately obvious to the untrained ear.

Listen long enough and you'll pick up on a sub chorus playing hints of #62.o_O

Just take the red pill, grab your TBird, and join in the Jazz fest.
