I think the TB wins... but I might be biased

Is it just me, or is the P the only one that just fades into the background? All the others are present without being overwhelming. But the P? You really have to listen for it.

Ah, good... it wasn't just me. I think that maybe there was a bit of turning it down in the mix going on... no P I've owned/ played has gotten swallowed in such a simple mix like that

The T-bird was more pleasing in the mix than the others. It had less high-end definition/clank but plenty of low-end phatness. The other basses sounded less rich/flatter.

BTW, I tried this but now I just have a piece of felt(laying loose)between the bridge cover and the strings.

I really don't understand why she wouldn't just shove the foam UNDER THE STRINGS. Why fiddle with tape? Plus, by putting the foam under the strings, it is easier to give certain strings more or less mute on the fly.

TBird sounded best, followed very closely by Precision and Ripper comes in a more distant 3rd. All IMO, of course.

they certainly are tone deaf - I had to wash my ears out with bleach after hearing that
