I went to the show to see Duff and Slash. Those two (since they cleaned themselves up) are great players.

Slash used to live in Boynton Beach, FL.[just south of West Palm Beach]. My daughter met him when he came into the Disney store she worked at. Edit for grammar: where she worked.

It's already been a busy day off, got up early went shopping for the week, got gas for the Subie and I returned home in time to watch the back half of the house three doors down from me burn - The fire dept. was still just showing up. Got all clean and shaved smooth, did make up and went in to see my staff at Seattle Lighting.

I love this thread. Even though my birdcage is empty at the moment, I come in here daily or so, just to read and see pics. This thread moves so fast sometimes, it's almost like a chat room ! Tbird owners are one flock of passionnate musicians .

What an odd selection for metal! An EB-2? I thought that one sounded great, but it was softer than the others and had round edges in the sound. EQ got more black than usual in that sound, but it was still more dark brown with streaks than the rest of them. It sounded like an EB-2 to me. The first one, (SG?) just disappeared. The Thunderbird had the usual black and indigo in the sound, in spite of the scoop. The Ripper and Stagg sounded pretty good, too, especially the Stagg. The P just sounded flat, which surprised me. Moral of the story - a Thunderbird works for everything. An EB-2 sounds great but didn't sound right for metal. There's a shocker. And, I haven't thought at all about what a Stagg is, was, or ever will be, but that one works well in context.

I wonder what strings they had on all of them. Another difference is that he was using a pick on some, but not all of them. That makes a difference, too.
