Thunderbird Club

[Grinch]

I hate this time of year. The crass commercialism of the holiday season. Rushing around to make sure everything gets done. Trying to figure out what to buy for the impossible to buy for, having to tell others what to buy me despite me not wanting anything. Trying to negotiate a custody schedule that will let me get a ski day or two in with my daughter.

But on Xmas day, it is all done. I get to have a great dinner with my family and spend some quality time playing games, telling stories, and having a good time.
I'll be dealing with client stuff right up until Christmas Eve. It used to be starting up or closing out a complicated construction project. The work is different now, but the timing isn't. I used to think it was a bad thing. Now that the kid is out of the house, it's a blessing. I don't have to listen to canned versions of Jingle Bells on endless repeat for 24 hours a day for a month.

Well. Not TBird related. Time for me to go off the grid. Starting my Bday 2 days early. And I’m off for 2 days starting now. But ima gonna go off the rails. If I make out alive tonight. I start over again tomorrow. Cheers gang.

Happy birthday! Be careful enough that you have more!

Ok, so I've tried adding weight to the bottom of my strap in order to combat the neck dive on my NR T bird. And while it kind of works, it doesn't work well enough to justify the extra weight. So I'm at the point now where I'm ready to move the top strap pin to the neck heel.

I haven't found any examples of people doing this with a Gibson NR, only Epi's. So my question is whether or not it will work for a Gibson. And is there anything else that I should know before doing this?

Happy Birthday! You always seem to look twenty years younger in your pics you post. Don’t expect we’ll see any for while though? Have fun and stay safe.

It is a really well crafted bass-line. Didn't know 'No Doubt' did it but it's been done by a number of people. I saw 'No Doubt' once because I wanted to see Soul Coughing (great band!) - ND were entertaining for sure, but didn't inspire me to "follow" them.
No Doubt's spin on that song's video is bizarre...while TT's is about animal's right to live, Stefani makes it about trying to avoid the death penalty for killing the husband........dunno if it's for copyright issues but No Doubt's bass player cuts corners on the bass track omitting some of the best connecting passages IMHO..
