Amen, brother, Amen. One thing I liked was that the words made sense and didn't sound like a drunken interpretation of Camus, pretending to be more insightful than the the rest of the rubes on earth listening. The music wasn't bad either!
Interesting thing about Ronnie was that he didn't write words down and "work" on them. They just came out when he heard rif or new song.
Everyone in Skynyrd was interesting, and the band was interesting in lots of ways, but Ronnie was a big part of everything, from the way songs were typically written to their insane practice schedule at Hell House to their stage show. He knew what audiences wanted in general, and he could read a crowd’s mood.
