That Markbass in the original post. I’m counting it down to retirement. I’m adding the gear I want while I’m still making money. I’ve been hitting stores and trying to decide on the amp and cab(s) to get to be able to play out anywhere. I think I’ve decided on Mesa over GK. But that could change....
I don’t have a clue. But we’re willing an EPI VP NR into existence a post at a time. But, if they don’t do it this year, I’ll get serious about a Cataldo which are highly thought of here.
It was pretty funny. We’re playing while a guy and girl walk out, spread a blanket on the gym floor and ultimately arm wrestle. The activities director was not amused; he eventually got over it. Can’t imagine that happening in our current climate.You should have told whoever was running the rally that you didn't know what "It" was.
The Aria is a good sounding well built bass, I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up.

Some people never learn.My wife doesn't use the "jumping off the bridge" example. She just points out that my friends make more money than I do. That's when I point out the SHE makes more money than me and needs to keep me in the lifestyle I have become accustomed to.Sometimes I don't remember what happens after that but I wake up with a headache.
I used to work commercial construction and grew up in a bad part of town, but married a farm girl and learned quick she could take me any time she wants! 
Don’t feel deprived. Some of us are depraved. I’ll admit to being nuts.This thread is DANGEROUS. I have a mere SEVEN basses ( which I used to think was a lot ). Only ONE is a 'Bird. I feel deprived. I am retiring at the end of January so I will not be able to keep up with the rest of you folks, and I will just have to be content with the paltry SEVEN basses that I have - one for EACH day of the week. I think some of you must have warehouses in your yards to store all the 'birds to keep them from flying away. Am I wrong? Am I making a HUGE mistake by retiring and denying myself of more 'birds? What has my life come to? Is there an afterlife where I might obtain more 'BIRDS some day, hopefully far down the road?

I remember my friend's 1973 Telecaster Deluxe guitar, bought brand new in '73 - the high E string was hanging off the fretboard by the neck joint. I guess that's what made it the "Deluxe" model.
Always dug the T-Bird - never "got" the Explorer. Not Explorer bashing by any means. ALL guitars and basses are cool in their own way. Different strokes is all.
