This guy's hilarious. Too bad they don't make it in left-handed. I think it's beautiful.
I'd definitely like to have a beer with him.It does look nice. His demeanor and voice certainly don’t match the music or his look.
Been looking for a black and gold PG for a while as well with no luck.
LOL - you too. I've never been fond of stark white pickguards on any bass. Aged white or cream/parchment yes, bright white nope.
LOL - the three amigos. I'm in good company.
If I can get the logo in gold at the current asking price I'll bite. I had planned on contacting the seller and asking if he could do that. If you guys are serious let me know and I'll let him know there are several other buyers that want the same thing. I think he's just silk screening them on so it shouldn't be a big deal. I also plan on buying a cream or aged white one for my black VP to give it more of a vintage look.
Was Gibson putting in the Rythm and Lead pick-ups they're using today in Tbirds back in 2008 ? Not finding anything on that.
There's a really nice looking Epi Pro IV on the local OfferUp, but I think he's asking just a touch too much. At least, too much for my blood anyways.Just for grins, I took a look at Thunderbirds on Reverb. They sure are expensive these days. But, there's a fairly inexpensive black VP for sale.
If it's anything, my Epi Blackbird pu'ps were labeled Neck or Bridge... I'm sure it probably isn't.Pretty sure the pickups are specific to neck or bridge, but not sure how well they mark them.
Actually, if you want to do something useful ... you could measure the OA length + the width of the arse on the JC as those dimensions don't appear to be online anywhere (just packing box dimensions). Then I'll know whether one would fit in my gig bag.
millimetres/centimetres/inches will work -- please no parsecs.
My Imperial to Angstrom converter isn't working so well. My measures:

Funny how that works. Back in the late 1990's brick and mortar and mom and pop shops had relatively high prices, pawn shops and classified ads were bargain territory if you could separate the good stuff from the junk. Then eBay hit and there were bargain prices on everything. Fast forward about ten years and eBay evolved more in the direction of on line retailers where bargains are harder to find, still there but not in the numbers they were before. Then Reverb came out and once again, lots of good bargains. Now about 8 years or so into Reverb and the bargains are getting harder to find. Craigslist has remained fairly constant but can be sketchy to deal on. TB classified and Guitar Center have been fairly constant as well, bargains to be found fairly often. I wonder where the next big bargain location will be?Just for grins, I took a look at Thunderbirds on Reverb. They sure are expensive these days. But, there's a fairly inexpensive black VP for sale.
Will do.Good afternoon GBassNorth, I liked the looks of that black and gold pickguard. Count me in as well if he decides to build more!
I suspected as much. It is a bigger bass than any of my others (and bigger than most I have seen). The 20th Anniversary came with a (cheap) gig bag that is obviously bigger than a standard bag. But I prefer to have a hard case and so bought the Yorkville case.Thank you. Too big for existing gig bag. Typical.
Each innovation made price discovery easier and expanded the potential market. Both served to close the gap between bid and ask.Funny how that works. Will do.
I find way better deals on OfferUp and FB Marketplace. I find that CL tends to be "firm on price" while OfferUp tends to be "I'm willing to negotiate because I want to move this quickly"....I wonder where the next big bargain location will be?...

I forgot all about offerup. There can be some smokin hot deals there, but the operative word might be "hot". Regardless, there's a steal there right now and folks considering a 2015 would be insane to pass on it...I find way better deals on OfferUp and FB Marketplace. But, as we all love to say..... YMMV.
Somebody thought "What are the ugliest strings I can put on this bass?" thinking that would help get it sold. I suppose it might just to get it out of the hands of such an abuser.I forgot all about offerup. There can be some smokin hot deals there, but the operative word might be "hot".
