Slight subject change here. Does anyone here use or have any experience with the Gruv Gear Duo Strap (GRUV GEAR · DuoStrap Signature "Damian Erskine" Ergonomic Double Strap · MAKE LIFE GRUV) on their T-Bird? My issue - my Epi Pro V weighs 10.4 lbs, which is only a little heavier than my MM Stingray but since I'm still recovering from rotor cuff surgery on my left shoulder (Nov. 17th) I need to get load off the left shoulder if possible. Just wondering how well it works with the front strap button being farther to the right (rear heel of the neck) than most basses, really don't want to spend $150 and potentially find out it really doesn't help that much. Anyone?
I would email the company to ask if this was tested on a bass like a TBird or know of any customers that have used them with a TBird. I could see it helping someone that has back or shoulder issues, but it looks a bit restrictive to me. FWIW, there are a ton of custom straps out there that run the range from $200-300 that don't look as well made as this one so the price doesn't seem out of line to me. But like you I would be looking for real world reviews before I pulled the trigger on it because it is not a cheap purchase.
