That is a beauty! And since it isn't alpine white, I guess you still need to get another.

Not sure which video clip I detest the most - Do the Monkey or Funky Gibbon. Let's just call it a tie and hope they don't get reposted anytime soon.![]()

The prophesy of the NR VP is coming true!Oh man! And it’s blue!
A friend was in the Tet offensive. He never speaks of it. One of a few from his platoon who made it back.I don't recall what the guys I knew called it. There were a bunch of them over the years. I don't remember any of them saying much of anything about it at all. It was like they wanted it to go away, which is probably true.
Excellent!
(Confused look)Ahem ^2
True- there are exceptions, which is why I said "typically" and "if those parts were removed early on."Not always - my '64 had all of its original covers etc and really didn't leave marks. Both the pu cover & bridge cover had black plastic spacers between them and the body. The brass mute was attached to the underside of the bridge - so no trace of it either.
Our bandleader is having us play "achy breaky heart" as a special event request. I said no problem..as long as we do "I wanna be sedated" or this one that I have always wanted to cover.
True- there are exceptions, which is why I said "typically" and "if those parts were removed early on."You are fortunate. Not one vintage bass I ever owned didn't have impressions or some kind of shadow of what was once there. Even my '71 Jazz which is a closet queen and is near mint has them. My '64 IV has the brass mutes and the cotton mutes themselves, but there are no marks where that once was. I suspect that might have been the first thing t be removed, though it shows signs of use.
I can't get over how cool that bass is you posted. That's really something.![]()

NUBD!!!
I wasn’t looking for an angry piano, but I’m thrilled to have one. DW wasn’t kidding- this looks mint. Plays and sounds great. Prompt shipping, too!
I told my wife I don’t even care it’s not Alpine white!

Yes, I fully agree. MM PUs? No thank you.designed by Dan Lakin. That bodes well for them. Not enamored by the looks of that T Bird style bass, but would be curious to see more of em

I feel kind of silly, but your post of this is one of the coolest things I've seen in I can't recall.Person who posted it found it on-line and doesn't have a clue of where it came from. It is pretty cool.![]()
