When they get back,. look at how much the trip cost. There's your gear budget for the year. :):bassist::hyper:
Yep. Even though my daughter works for an airline so flight cost virtually nothing and we have a zillion hotel points so that cost nothing, the amp was so reasonably priced I’ll still be able to use that to my advantage.

schmoe at the store said..

Harmony made some Airline guitars, but as far as I know, Hagstrom did not. Everything I have seen said that Hagstrom just made Hagstrom instruments (including accordions; guitars and basses came later). I'm not sure if the Hagstrom Kent model displayed the Hagstrom name or not, but that would be the only thing I'm aware of, if that's the case.

An Ebony Studio 5 with different P/Ups or did you just change the covers and add rings? I like the PG too.
I call that girl "the Beast"! I believe the pickups are Thunderbuckers and were installed by the previous owner, as was the pick guard. She is great fun to play, if a tad on the heavy side. The bass has a wide range of tones and textures, and is a favorite with other members of the cover band I am in.

I've forgotten the guy's name that owned the Fiver, wasn't he from Wenatchee? That's a bad@$$ Bird!
Yes, I purchased it from a player in Wenatchee. I believe his name is Mike if memory serves. He plays in a blues band that gigs around the Wenatchee valley. I see his wife from time to time, a great lady who manages a music store. I initially purchased a 5 string American Jazz from her store, that has been a great bass, and have chatted with her many times over the years. I travel around eastern Washington every month as part of my job, and check out music stores and pawn shops as time allows.

I was thinking more like "bizarre". But for only $699.....or was that $6.99?
funny, when I asked dude at the store how come these offset bodied guitars were so popular now he explained kids don’t wanna play guitars that look like their parent’s........heck, the way I remember it, you played a jaguar or Jazzmaster when you couldn’t afford a Strat..:D
