Just IMHO, the rules regarding endorsee's/commercial users is ENTIRELY too strict. I don't get it at all, but it seems draconian, or an attempt to inhibit competition. I for one, would like a producer's or builders thoughts, when they are asked for.

Having said that, I dont have Facebook or Twitter or any of that balderdash to get this kind of information from. Just my .02 cents....

Miles you are too kind! All of the influences you cite are correct. We just always think of it as "Rock" music for both Mt. Vengeance & Poppy.

All of us are in our 50's, have kids and careers but have a unifying thread of all having been in bands in our teens and twenty's. At this point it is done for the enjoyment of it. Ending up on a small label was not a part of the plan but we are all really happy and grateful that it worked out that way!

Feel free to characterize it however you see fit. We are all just really glad that someone, aside from the 11 people we played to at the last show, is listening!

Thank you for sharing the link again. I missed it previously.

That Grabbird looks REALLY nice, love the sliding PUP, seems the best of both worlds. Not much love here?

I LOVE that bass!!!

The potential for abuse all the way around is is too great.

If you question the mods in public, you'll get a warning and/or suspended. Ask me how I know.

@RexxRokket
Here's my demo, only one beer in. Still have some buzz to nail down, sorry.

This was all one take, Broughton P-15 all controls at noon, Union Tube & Transistor LAB compressor, both at 10:00, brand new GHS PressureWound M7200.

Neck, Bridge, Both in Parallel (Stock wiring), Series (Both, non stock).

I hope you enjoy it and make the mod to yours, I think it's a great thing.

Sorry for the playing in advance...

Dave, that bass sounds great! Thanks for the clip. I am using a pair of Emg tbhz pups for my bird build and hope it sounds that good. Really tight bottom. Sounds similar to a dingwall, at least on my phone.

Sounds good to me. Did you use a pick? Using my rig (Embassy1>Markbass LMII > Audiokinesis Thunderchild 115), fingerstyle, I had different results. My series setting had less bass, much stronger mids. You're rig sounds really nice, great growl.

Edited to add Embassy1

I might also add, I was listening through my Bose Soundsports, which tend to enhance/boost the bass, so i should probably dig out my best headphones.

Lots of love for it here, I posted it. Rob van den Broek (of The Gibson Bass Book) is it's creator - I really like his adaptation of two great Gibson basses. Commercial users have to be very careful about posts on TB, it's a violation of their agreement, thus he didn't mention it here. It's the same for Carlo of Cataldo and myself.

I totally dig this bass!

beautiful *and* functional. As it should be! <3

In what way?

Think about it for a moment outside of the Thunderbird club, would you want manufacturers (brand X) dumping their product in a thread that you started about brand Y. Considering the GP, it would be impossible to manage.

Thanks @kringle77
@Thumper Yes, played with a pick.

FYI, I just re-listed my Dingwall Dbird Custom. I have waffled a lot on this one, but it is back up in case anyone is interested. Link in the signature if you want to take a look.
