Thunderbird Club

Nice! Think I like the white a little better. Both look good in their own way, but I lean towards the white. I have three black basses but am not one who has to have black on everything.

I like seeing bands live or youtube and they all got together and wore......black. No imagination. I'm not one to care about "stage wear" being more interested in the music, but I always wanted to ask, "Is there some magical power to wearing black?" And, "You know you don't stand out when all of you wear they same thing, right?" I can imagine the dressing room conversations. "What are you wearing tonight?" "A black shirt. No, not that black shirt. The other black shirt that goes with these black pants, not the other black pants."
"How about you?" ..... Story endlessly repeats.
Stand out? I'm the bass player. I could probably wear all day glow with electric Christmas lights around me and no one would look.

Had to swap in the Supertone to get the Cobalts to intonate. That definitely pushed me toward the white PG, although Sharon and I agree they're both gorgeous. What do y'all think? She looks right at home in the case formerly occupied by Leon. But he's a free bird, so he was happy to move into the soft case. Calls it "cozy". She said her name is Pattie ' like Santos, who sang "White Bird" (and many others) with It's a Beautiful Day.

Now that Pattie unleashes the thunder, I'll give the RS66s back to Hela and see what I can do with an angry piano.
Definitely the white pickguard. Funny on the white bass how I think the SuperTone looks a little overwhelming when the bass is standing up, but when in horizontal playing position it looks great. For me, pickup rings fixed that.

These shipping problems (and there are a lot of them outside of the basses mentioned in this club) remind me of the Monty Python Castle Storming segment from the Holy Grail. All USPS tells me every time I check the status is it's in transit, it's in transit, it's in transit - then Bang - it's delivered.
Maybe the USPS is using this guy for deliveries...

Got the SSD running and loaded Reaper in the iMac, then tracked some reggae grooves with the VP last night.
Sent it off to the drummer. Hopefully he gets drums tracked today.

It’s a little weird having to play this way. You need to use your imagination until you have the other instruments in place.

I think you're on to something here.

I do get "In transit to the next facility." It's just that it's been in transit to the next facility since last Tuesday. I can't image just where that next facility actually is. In that length of time you can almost drive to most place in the CONUS. Or maybe some poor guy is riding it on a bicycle.

Yup. My CD was in that state for over two weeks.

and then a thief steels the package, right as it arrives.

You caught on! Here I am just before going out and jumping on the bike. Gotta remember to duck more for trees.

For fun--while waiting for my Thunderbird to arrive--I was reading through some posts about Thunderbirds and hearing the usual nonsense. They won't fit on a guitar stand, neck dive, they are "fragile," and my favorite, they just aren't "versatile;" and about all they are good for a hard rock. I especially like how a Pbass was way more versatile. But I wonder how many realize a Thunderbird typically has two pickups, not one. I would think that should add something to the versatility just a tad. Not ragging on Pbasses by any means. Almost any bass is capable of a wide range of styles if the user knows very much. The things people go around spouting with great certitude that just isn't so.

And you did that because?

Are you certain?
