Thunderbird Club

Had to swap in the Supertone to get the Cobalts to intonate. That definitely pushed me toward the white PG, although Sharon and I agree they're both gorgeous. What do y'all think? She looks right at home in the case formerly occupied by Leon. But he's a free bird, so he was happy to move into the soft case. Calls it "cozy". She said her name is Pattie ' like Santos, who sang "White Bird" (and many others) with It's a Beautiful Day.

Now that Pattie unleashes the thunder, I'll give the RS66s back to Hela and see what I can do with an angry piano.
Black pick guard hands down.

I suspect you all might guess what I’m thinking about now. Interesting.
Schecter Reintroduces the Ultra Bass
My first bass was a Schecter. Nice bass, well built, reasonable price. Most of their stuff has EMGs, which are fine if you like that sound.

While I am waiting for some info from Epi after I failed to flip a saddle in my VP, I am searching for some direct bridge replacement just in case.
Here is what I found:

BACH THD BASS SET

Looks good. Aside from the obvious stud spacing question you might want find out if the saddles are set up for the same fretboard radius you have, which I think is 12".

Hmmm that’s not too bad even converted to CAN$. I wish the bridge had a bit more travel.

A funny thing about PDQ B is that when he was conducting the KC Symphony, there was a gag where he kept correcting the lead violinist and then expelled him from the stage... or that's what he wanted. The older 'esteamed' lead violinist had a big ego and no sense of humor and wouldn't stand to be corrected, even in jest. So another member (a young woman) of the violin section volunteered to be 'corrected'. The hierarchy of a symphony is pretty conservative at the pointy end, even if made up of people of all persuasions. Sounds familiar...
Schickele did a duet with Perlman(and the Boston Pops). Perlman got the joke. And participated. At 2 or 3 'breaks', Schickele loudly counts off "1-2-3-4" to bring the orchestra back in. Then Perlman did it. I thoroughly lost it. Was the KC guy better than Perlman? Or just a little man w/ a big ego.

Roger that. The E on my VP needs more travel for both the Rotos and the Cobalts. Even with action as low as I can get away with. E and A are up against the wall, mamacitos! The A just intonates there. The E needs a few more turns worth of room.
