I see a Suzi Quattro Greco Thunderbird pop up for sale every now and then. They are intriguing in that they are completely different from almost anything else. They have a split coil up in mudbucker position at the base of the neck and what appears to be a J pickup right at the bridge. it makes them look a little odd. I suspect they sound a little odd, too. Plus, they have an absurdly ornate headstock. Intrigued by those doesn't mean I'll be spending that kind of money to find out what they are really like, though. I am shockingly happy with what I got.She had something to with with Greco thunderbirds

Interesting, the original Reeves 200 had six EL-34 output tubes...wonder when they changed that....HA! It helps that when your spouse digs gear as well for sure! I got this from the Talk Bass classifieds. Seller had been trying to sell it for about 2 years but would not ship it. Turns out a musician friend of mine who I had just recently gotten back in touch with lived about 20 minutes away. He was happy to help and for the cost of shipping and a bottle of Tullemore Dew, it was headed this way.
It is a 2009 Custom Shop head. All hand wired and the modern version of the Partridge transformers. 4 KT88's. It sounds pretty awesome so far.
It has been a long time since I owned a tube amp. With two 8 ohm cabinets, this should be set to 8 ohms on the amp correct?
Or does it need to be at 4 ohms because it is running two 8 ohm cabinets?
From me too also.A very Happy Bday to you Scott, @godofthunder59![]()
