Greco.I don't know what the Thunderbird is (but I think it has been discussed here before) but it would look huge because, if memory serves, Suzi is tiny -> 5' +/- 3"
It depends on the car. New ones? I do not even know where the engine is. Old ones? Swapping parts and messing with them is a blast. And they are still inefficient, unreliable, and incompetent. But fun to drive because of that.Yep.
I used to do lots of work on cars myself. Now I don't want to open the hood - that is for the mechanic/computer technician.
Don't happen to have an SVT around do you?I was emailing with my neighbor about this kid downstairs who plays the French horn and... isn't good, and not improving. She said, "Sadly, he’s the only live music I’m likely to hear for the rest of the year. Maybe you could play your bass a little louder if you’re still getting it out?"

It sure did!I had a lot of "fun" removing the thick finish on this one. It was a real b!t<# of a job.

But it turned out great IMHO.

This kind of information is beyond my (previous) experience.Do you pay for the stripping of the finish with ones? And if they strip the finish really well, do you take them to the champagne lounge?
I'm glad I'm not the only one.Yep.

He is obviously someone with a big entertainment budget when he’s “working.”This kind of information is beyond my (previous) experience.![]()
Does anyone know what this bass is? Thunderbird-style body with a P-type pickup and a 2+2 headstock. It looks even more huge on her than most of the other basses she played!
Guys like you hire guys like me to sort out the mess. I actually love my job. Without the mayhem, it would be endless comedy. And none of it is really my problem. All I have to do is solve the puzzle and tell the truth. It sure beats my last life in construction.Well, I work for a huge company. It’s a grind every day. My employer wants me to handle an impossible amount of work. The other side wants to screw my employer any way possible. It isn’t fun.
Somewhat of true in in my experience as well. A long time friend of mine was never really thrilled in private practice. Kind of like police getting tired of dealing with extremely high doses of stupidity every day, with brief times of really helping someone. He recently became a prosecutor and I'm concerned he's going to get even more tired of stupid. But he can get some satisfaction of putting (trying to) keep stupid in jail. He wanted me to join him in law school here and I'm glad I didn't, though it was something I was seriously thinking of doing.Interesting. I have yet to meet a lawyer with high job satisfaction. They all range from blasé about their work to seething anger and waiting to suggest some unnatural acts to the partners.
Man. I’m really losing it. I realized I read that before but didn’t remember any of the details. This time I printed it out and and put it with my bass “stuff.” Might be an interesting mod to a VP some day.

My favorite SQ clip...
From way back in 1979. Just a tiny little thing all of about 5' tall yet she pounds the snot out of every inch of that fingerboard. Every time I hear a guy complain about how long the reach is on a TBird I remember this video and think, suck it up buttercup. SQ also played a Thunderbird type bass and never had an issue getting around that neck either.
And what blows me away is that she just turned 70.Does anyone know what this bass is? Thunderbird-style body with a P-type pickup and a 2+2 headstock. It looks even more huge on her than mst of the other basses she played!
i just watched that clip this afternoon. She’s definitely a badass!
Yeah, I guess she likes that P/J configuration. When I had the EpiBird 5er, that was one of my negatives about the thing. If I'd really liked the feel of it otherwise, I mighta changed the pup(ThunderBucker or?), but it and I just never jelled. Oh, well.I am about 90% sure it is a Greco Suzi Quattro model Thunderbird. They pop up for sale every now and then. The headstock design is ornate and usually has bits broken off. I curious about them because a P pickup in mudbucker position is intriguing. The J pickup at the bridge is not as intriguing.
