Have you heard her newest album, that came out last year? Pretty good, imo.
Hope I can still be that active by the time I hit 70....☠
Sure you will be. She’s amazing. As is Chrissie Hynde, Stevie Nicks, Susana Hoffs, Suzanne Vega, and dozens of others in their sixties and seventies still making great music.

The only P/J I've ever owned is a '00 Fender American Hot-Rod Precision. It sounds fantastic and I would never consider getting rid of it. It feels like a custom shop build. I can't find any flaws with it whatsoever. The jazz pick up is over wound slightly to give it a little extra punch. But I only dial it in about 80%. Probably half the time is off completely. It's just me, but I can't picture buying a Thunderbird in that configuration. Found by a Thunderbird I wanted to sound like a Thunderbird. In fact if I bought another precision, I might want it to sound like a Thunderbird!

That’s a nice P bass. Even the tort looks good on it.

Somewhat of true in in my experience as well. A long time friend of mine was never really thrilled in private practice. Kind of like police getting tired of dealing with extremely high doses of stupidity every day, with brief times of really helping someone. He recently became a prosecutor and I'm concerned he's going to get even more tired of stupid. But he can get some satisfaction of putting (trying to) keep stupid in jail. He wanted me to join him in law school here and I'm glad I didn't, though it was something I was seriously thinking of doing.
the Japanese say; "Lawyers divide the pie...Engineers make the pie bigger"...

And the poly is fully stripped! Not bad overall, just time consuming and a couple areas that turned into a real pain. A couple dig outs on the headstock, but nothing some wood putty and grain filler won’t take care of. Next step: sanding.

Dude, you got me going back and forth now...wanted to strip mine (same cherry finish) and have it refinished in white....then, seeing that, the cherry finish is exclusive to BaCH and looks pretty good I temporarily decided against it but now......hmmmm....guess once you start..still takes cojones....nice going!
