Thunderbird Club

I prefer songs tell a story set to great music. Needing to drop some acid or reflect on the inherent absurdities and contradictions of postmodernism to understand a song is too much (pointless) work for me. Tell me a story and even make me think, but not try to get me to be impressed by how deep you think you are. But that's just me. Everyone has their own preferences.
When I’m in the mood for a good story, I have several who I turn to. HarryChaplin, Al Stewart, Paul Kelly, Suzanne Vega, Joan Baez...and many more. But there’s plenty of room for nonsense in my world too.

Birds look great in BMM - it's a wonder they never came in that shade. There were a few other Gibsons/Epi's that did. Primarily guitars.

1974 GM-H Colour Orchid Metallic. Same? Close? to Heather / BMM

I really hate those. I tried banjo a while and the thumb pick felt like it had to be so tight to stop circulation or it felt like it would come off. Don't know how Johnny Winter did it.
I tried a thumb pick. It was working out pretty well 'til I realized I couldn't feel my thumb any more. Anybody need the other 5 from the pack?

Felix the cat!
I’ll never forget the terror I experienced when the evil Master Cylinder captured Poindexter. I can’t believe my parents let me watch it.

All related with different names. Cool ride!

not mine unfortunately.
Holden Torana SLR/5000 fitted with L34 or A9/X wheel flares.

5000 = the Holden 308 ci V8 in a 102” wheelbase small car. About a year after this they added a hatchback that was a Chev Monza style Fastback. Now that was “the car” when I was a teen.
Torana = an Aboriginal word meaning ‘to fly’

Introducing, the Miles Pick!

I think it was Miles that suggested drilling some holes in a pic when I mentioned that when I perspire they start moving around a little when I need to play something 16th notes. This was a trial. I think I could go with just using three holes and it would work just as well. But this does provide extra grip and might help with cooling as well. Remember, I hold a pic backwards, so the holes are basically were my finger and thumb is located. The part of the pig that it's the strain is actually the upper left-hand rounded corner. A drill press would've been handy.

Here’s one of my old guitar picks that I used a hole punch on, along with two of my bass picks I used a drill press on. I hold the picks differently according to what I need, so center works ok but I think the three holes will work better. Thanks for that idea!

The only tricky thing I do with picks is drilling a hole in the center and super-gluing a rare earth magnet disc in it. (as seen on metal control plate) To keep it from falling out, I use thick (clear) packing tape on both sides cut just smaller than the pick shape. This way the pick is always there when I need it. Less brittle picks on the thicker side work best.
