I have his solo album. I’ll have to give it a spin. Also, Ken was playing at his church in (IIRC) Oklahoma for a while. A friend of mine went there. I always hoped to get up there for a Sunday...
And in custom colors. Being a successful rock star seems to be some kind of advantage. I wouldn't know, however.yeah, and seems to get very lucky finding ones without HS breaks..

Live albums were a big part of the money machine in the early to mid seventies. Bands that made it by their third album or so would do a big tour and record it and in many cases film it. Some of them weren’t so great from an audio standpoint. But that Uriah Heep album captured it really well.I would rather listen to a live album than studio any day. My live albums are all in my favorites section.

I recall hearing that many "live" albums from that era captured just the drums (or just the kick) and the crowd and then in the studio they put in the other instruments to ensure a good take.Live albums were a big part of the money machine in the early to mid seventies. I remember reading about when Bruford left Yes just as they were going to do a huge tour and film it. Alan White came in and they hit the road with minimal rehearsal time. Like two weeks to nail the just released Close to the Edge. He said he was scared to death. But man, he sure pulled it off.

Quick question on the pedal board... Shouldn't the high-pass go after the Quint?

Does it sound good to you?I don't know? Should it? (Not being a smart azz) I have no idea if there is a correct order or not.![]()
I have no expertise, but I thought that the point of the HPF was to remove sub-sonics and lower, difficult to reproduce frequencies. The Quint I think adds an octave down, so I would have thought that the HPF would go afterwards to get rid of any sub-sonics it is adding.I don't know? Should it? Well, that is the real test.Does it sound good to you?

Well, that is the real test.
Then it's in the right order! So far!
I would be interested to hear what you think of the two configurations as I do not currently use a HPF, but have thoughts about adding one.True but I was thinking of it relative to just the initial bass sound. Stripping off the unwanted/unusable lows and then using the Quint on what remains. Maybe I will flip them and see if anything changes.....
WRT DR Strings. IIRC, they are in New Jersey. Has NJ opened up for manufacturing? Possible that there is noone there?Days ago I emailed a DR strings regarding the K3 coating on the black beauties and also their Dragon Skins. Was wondering what the difference is between the two strings in general. They feel very different. According to the website they should be the exact same string, one is just black. No response. Is that typical from them? Any of you had experience contacting the DR?
